Baby Shower

Had the most fun hosting a baby shower for a dear friends daughter (shocking on that part, but I digress).

A friend of mind has a bassinett for dolls that we decorated and filled with greenery and flowers for the entry table and sign-in sheet.  It was a great idea, my friend with the baby basinett is brilliant knowing you could even do this.  So after she told me how she had used it for showers, I borrowed her bassinett and toulle and she even had the pink fabric, and created this!  Such fun.








 For the food table we did fun girlie snacks with mini quiches, cucumber sandwhiches, veggies, and cheddar puffs.  We also did a fruit punch that was very refreshing!














 For dessert, we did mini-cupcakes (baked ourselves) and iced, and then topped with edible mini orchids.  They were delicious and I thought gorgeous!

Now - I turned 50!

Wow...it's amazing how fast time flies. Yes, while having heard that all my life, I have really come to realize that is a true and correct statement. And yes, my parents were correct, time
WILL go faster the older you get!

I turned 50 in 2010. Yes, I need to embrace that! I had some wonderful and amazing friends throw me the most special and awesome parties. Most were surprises.

It started with a great family celebration on the weekend. Mom has her birthday on the 20th, so we shared our celebrations this year!

And then I have the best friends ever!! I had wonderful surprise parties throughout the week, I am truly blessed.  Of course I found out my husband lied to me a lot during that month..but hey..it was worth it!!  Thank you ALL!!! 

Robert is trying out his "outfit" to see if he's an authentic Civil War living history person.  I think he fits the bill!

New Year

What a way to usher out the old and welcome the new!  Hope the new year is full of refreshing times!
